Brookfields Primary School

Brookfields Primary School joined Create's family of schools on the 1 November 2018.

It is a two-form entry primary school in Hockley, bordering the Jewellery Quarter.

Brookfields has a diverse and vibrant school community and it is this glorious diversity which makes it a haven in Hockley and such a special place to learn.

The school offers a range of educational experiences, visitors to school and enrichment through sport, art, music, dance, gardening, cooking and computing. It has achieved its Rights Respecting Bronze award from Unicef and is currently striving to achieve their Silver award.

Ms Leanne Mahony joined the school in September 2022 as the new Headteacher, and we kindly welcome her to our family of schools.

“I am extremely proud to be the Headteacher of Brookfields Primary School, a happy and inclusive place to learn.

I joined the school in September 2022 and am proud to be part of this diverse and vibrant community; this diversity is what makes Brookfields Primary such a special place to learn.

Our belief is that our school is a place where every child can SHINE. This is reflected in our values behind SHINE:

Success for everyone

Healthy and Happy

Independent Learners

Never give up

Since becoming the Headteacher, we have had a sharp focus on the quality of education across the school and aim to ensure that we deliver the highest standard of education alongside an enriching programme of activities and events that open doors for our pupils as well as opening their minds.

Our whole school values are to be ready, respectful and safe, my vision as the Headteacher links to those values and that vision is that:

Our pupils thrive, are respectful, resilient and develop a lifelong love of learning, equipping them for their future.

Our school provides an inspirational learning environment with outstanding teaching and learning, together with a strong ethos of caring, support and personal development, as well as meaningful connections to the local Brookfields community that we serve.

Our staff  are highly professional and passionate about what they do, feel valued for their work and having a wealth of opportunities to develop themselves, progress their careers and maintain a good work-life balance.”
